Batting Cages at Washington Park
The new softball batting cage project remains under construction. Roof trusses are being welded off site and excavation has begun.

The construction bid of the new softball batting cage in Washington Park was awarded to BuildCorp Inc. Construction commenced in February and is expected to be completed by late April, 2024.

The Parks and Recreation Department is working on adding a softball batting cage in Washington Park adjacent to the existing batting cage. City staff are working with Burlingame Girls Softball leadership and a consultant to design the batting cage. Once the designs are complete, the project will be publicly bid. The goal is to have the batting cage operational for the 2024 Softball Season.
