This project improved both concrete reservoirs by adding a protective waterproof coating to the exterior of the reservoirs. Preserving the life of the concrete reservoirs will provide improved water quality to the community and reduce costs.
Scope: The project consisted of coating the outside reservoirs with a waterproofing membrane heavy pedestrian traffic system. The work consisted of power washing and preparing the surface to a Concrete Surface Profile CSP-3 minimum, repair spall areas, level ponding areas, cut rebar, chip concrete back, caulk control joints and cracks, caulk all pipe penetrations and conduits, applying additional base coat on rough concrete areas before applying the waterproofing membrane heavy pedestrian traffic system.
