New Climate Action Plan Adopted
We have a new Climate Action Plan (CAP)! The CAP acts as Burlingame's plan to cut carbon emissions and contains strategies to reach zero waste, procure 100% renewable electricity, support green building and electric vehicles, and significantly reduce exhaust emissions. Check it out here.

New Solar Resource Page

Interested in solar but don't know where to start? Explore our new solar resources page including a Solar Map that highlights solar installations in Burlingame neighborhoods.

Thanks to Solar Pro Energy Systems and the Pariani Family for donating a solar system for Village Park Preschool!  This is the first solar system on our City facilities.  The 5.88kW solar system will produce almost 7,000 kWh (6,976 kWh) of electricity annually and save the city almost $100,000 ($99,101) over the next 25 years.  Solar Pro Energy Systems installed the system on April 20, 2019,  in only four hours.  Many thanks to Solar Pro Energy Systems for their generosity. @solarproenergysystems

Are you thinking about adding solar panels to your roof?  Watch the video below with Burlingame’s Chief of Police on how he added solar panels to his house through SunShares!  SunShares is a renewable energy program making it easier and more affordable for Bay Area residents to go solar or purchase an electric vehicle.

ECO100
Burlingame is purchasing 100% renewable electricity for all of its municipal accounts through the ECO100 program and is encouraging the City’s residents and businesses to do the same. Former Mayor Ortiz said it best, “We believe the City should serve as a role model for others and support renewable energy the best way we can.” Take this powerful, but simple, action to make a difference by signing up today.

Green Business Awardee
Burlingame is proud to announce as this year's Green Business awardee Dewey Land Company!
