Sustainability Updates
New Solar Resource Page
Interested in solar but don't know where to start? Explore our new solar resources page including a Solar Map that highlights solar installations in Burlingame neighborhoods.

Are you thinking about adding solar panels to your roof?  Watch the video below with Burlingame’s Chief of Police on how he added solar panels to his house through SunShares!  SunShares is a renewable energy program making it easier and more affordable for Bay Area residents to go solar or purchase an electric vehicle.

ECO100
Burlingame is purchasing 100% renewable electricity for all of its municipal accounts through the ECO100 program and is encouraging the City’s residents and businesses to do the same. Former Mayor Ortiz said it best, “We believe the City should serve as a role model for others and support renewable energy the best way we can.” Take this powerful, but simple, action to make a difference by signing up today.

Take a Ride with Bike Sharing

Notice green bikes around town? The City has a new bike sharing program operated by LimeBike.  The bikes offer an easy and fun alternative to driving. Rides cost $1/30 min. To ride a LimeBike, download the app onto your smartphone, scan the bike number, strap on a helmet, ride, enjoy and park smart  - never leave bikes on ground or block pedestrian access and private property.

Green Business Awardees
Burlingame is proud to announce Alvin's Coffees and Teas and the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront as this year's Green Business awardees.
