Parks Passes

Explore the natural beauty found across San Mateo County and beyond with a San Mateo County Parks Pass or a California State Parks Pass.

San Mateo County
San Mateo County Parks Pass
This pass waives the vehicle entrance fee, allowing everyone in the car to visit the park for free.  Other park fees, including reservation fees, are not covered by this pass. For example, the pass will cover vehicle entrance to Coyote Point, but it does not cover entrance fees to CuriOdyssey. Depending on where you are going, you may be able to find free or discounted passes to attractions through Discover and Go.

Eligible San Mateo County Parks

These passes are non-holdable, but you can CHECK HERE to see which libraries have passes available and what the loan periods are. In order to give everyone a chance to borrow them, Burlingame's passes are non-holdable, non-renewable, and they check out for a 1-week loan period.

Note: Some parks, such as the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve,  do not have an entrance fee, so you may not even need a pass for your visit. To learn more about a San Mateo County Park you are planning to visit, CLICK HERE.

California State Parks Pass
The pass is valid for entry of one passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less or one highway licensed motorcycle at participating state park units. Passes are valid at 200+ participating state park units. To view an interactive map of eligible locations, please CLICK HERE.

The pass will not be honored at state park units operated by federal or local government and private agencies or concessionaires. Also, the pass is not valid for per-person entry or tour fees (such as museums), boat use, camping, group use or sites, special events, additional/extra vehicle fees, sanitation disposal use or for supplemental fees.

These passes are holdable, so you can put in a request and one will be set aside for you. Burlingame has holdable copies and non-holdable copies that we keep in the library for walk-ins. You can CHECK HERE to see which libraries have passes available and what the loan periods are.
