Parks Master Plan - Completed

The Parks and Recreation Department is excited to begin developing the City’s first Parks Master Plan.  This planning document will guide future planning, policy, and development of Burlingame’s parks and recreation programs and facilities for many years to come.  A key element of the plan is conducting robust community engagement.  The feedback will inform the Parks Master Plan and ensure that the final document reflects community priorities, preferences, and values related to the City’s parks system.

Burlingame is a largely built-out community, yet it is experiencing growth and anticipating more in the future.  The City’s recent General Plan Update affirmed its commitment to be a City of healthy people and healthy places.  These factors present unique challenges for how the P&R Dept. can continue to best serve current and future residents and meet user needs.  It also presents exciting opportunities for creative solutions.  We want to hear from you about your vision for the future of Burlingame parks.

There have been many opportunities to voice your opinions.  Many community members have visited us at a Pop-up events, or by completing the online survey.   There are still ways to be involved!
