Roundabout Safety

It's been over three months since the City of Burlingame proudly announced the completion of the California Drive Roundabout Project. The City would like to remind drivers that vehicles and cyclists already in the roundabout have the right-of-way. In addition, remember to:
  • pay attention to pedestrians in the crosswalks;
  • reduce speed to the 15 m.p.h. posted speed limit;
  • allow cyclists full use of the travel lane; and
  • pay attention to all posted traffic signs.
Drivers are encouraged to review the "California Driver Handbook - Laws and Rules of the Road", which explains right-of-way rules for roundabouts, and watch this two-minute YouTube video.
