The Lab

Create, tinker, and play at The Lab!

Get started by booking a machine or an orientation (for sewing):
*Please note: We do not have sewing help on the weekends at this time.  If you've taken an orientation you may use the sewing machines during Open Lab (including weekends), but there will be nobody on-hand to assist you.

Getting Started
All first time users must attend an introductory orientation on how to use the equipment

  • All users who wish to use any equipment during Open Lab must book the equipment. To book equipment, go to and click on Book It
  • First-time sewing users, choose “sewing” under Lab Orientations to book your sewing orientation.
  • All other first-time users can show up during Open Lab and receive an orientation.

 Who can use The Lab?
The Lab is open to everyone of all ages. However, children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by an adult who will be supervising them at all times.

How it works
1. Attend an orientation
2. Book a machine
3. Show up for your equipment booking during Open Lab

What is Open Lab?
Anyone may drop in during Open Lab to use our equipment.
Skilled volunteers are on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Each machine can be booked for two hours at a time.

When is Open Lab?
Monday through Thursday, 5-7 p.m.  & Saturday through Sunday, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
