The Lab

Create, tinker, and play at The Lab!

Get started by booking an orientation
*Please note: We do not have sewing help on the weekends at this time.  If you've taken an orientation you may use the sewing machines during Open Lab (including weekends), but there will be nobody on-hand to assist you.

Getting Started
Go to and click on Book Equipment. For first-time users, choose an option under Lab Orientations. All first time users must attend an introductory one-hour orientation on how to use the equipment. After your orientation, you can book equipment related to the orientation you attended and use it during Open Lab. To book equipment, go to and click on Book Equipment, then choose the equipment you would like to book.

Who can use The Lab?
The Lab is open to everyone of all ages. However, children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by an adult who will be supervising them at all times.
