Hip Hip Hooray for Poetry
Elementary-age children are invited to write an original poem, bring it to the Main Burlingame Library or Easton Branch Library between April 1-30, 2023, to receive a free book of poetry!
Limit one poetry book per child. 
Poem must be turned in by individual student.

On Tuesday, April 11th from 4-5pm,
Burlingame Youth Poet-in-Residence Eva Chen will guide childrenin grades TK-5th grade
in a Poetry Workshop to celebrate National Poetry Month!
Children may choose to turn in their poem at the Children's Desk afterward to receive
a free book of poetry and enter for their school to try to win the giant hippo.

This event is part of the Peninsula Library Comic Arts Festival

Homework Center
Tuesday, January 17th through Wednesday, April 19

We welcome Kindergarteners through 8th graders to be paired with a Teen Mentor (with a 3.5+ GPA) for help with reading, writing, science, and math.

The Homework Center runs each Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4pm-6pm in the Tech Lab on the Lower Level of the Burlingame Main Library.
Homework Center Breaks: February 20-22 for President's Week Break and March 27-29 for Spring Break
