Records Check/Clearance Letters

A clearance letter requires a check of the Burlingame Police Department records to determine if there is any criminal history within our city. This service is provided for past and present Burlingame residents only.  The following information will be needed by our department for a search: 

        • Full Name 
        • Date of Birth 
        • Address 
        • California Identification/Driver’s license or Passport is required for photo ID 
        • Dates of residence in Burlingame 

Your request will be processed and available within 24 hours and can be obtained at the Burlingame Police Department located at 1111 Trousdale Drive, Burlingame, CA 94010. A photo identification
(Driver’s license/Identification or passport) is required when picking up your clearance letter. For current fees, refer to the Burlingame Master Fee Schedule.
