Records Check/Clearance Letters

A clearance letter requires a check of the Burlingame Police Department records to determine if there is any criminal history within our city. This service is provided for past and present Burlingame residents only. The following information will be needed by our department for a search: 

        • Full Name 
        • Date of Birth 
        • Address 
        • California Identification/Driver’s license or Passport is required for photo ID 
        • Dates of residence in Burlingame 

The Fee for this service is $27.00 per letter. You can call the Burlingame Police Department at (650) 777-4100 and provide the above information during office hours, 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday, excluding Holidays. 

Your request will be processed and usually available within 24 hours and can be obtained at the Burlingame Police Department located at 1111 Trousdale Drive, Burlingame, CA 94010, 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays. A photo identification (ie: Driver’s license/Identification or passport) is required when picking up your clearance letter.
