                C. SPH Standard Plan

                D. Structural Criteria

Step 3: Submit your completed application package either through this link or by email to:

BuildingDept-Solar@burlingame.org

(NOTE: You may need to cut and paste this email address into your web browser.)

A Building Division staff member will contact you within three business days of receipt of your submittal package with the status of your application.

When you are notified that your application package has been approved you will then be able to pick up your building permit at the Burlingame Building Division front counter. When you visit the Building Division front counter you will need to submit two complete sets of submittal documents, including plans and documentation that are identical to the package that you submitted electronically. (NOTE: Plan pages must be at least 11" x 17". All other documents must be at least 8-1/2" x 11".) The Building Division will collect payment at that time and issue the building permit and approved Job Copy of the plans to a licensed contractor or to the building owner.

Electronic submittal is not required. You may always choose to submit your application package directly at the Building Division front counter during regular front counter hours:

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to Noon, except Thurs, which is 9:00 a.m. to noon.

A guide to the Inspection Requirements for small rooftop solar permits that meet one of the Standard Plans can be found here.

Please contact the Building Division at 650-558-7260 if you have any questions about this process.
