Shoreland Subdivision Water Improvements, South Rollins Road, Phase 2
This project consists of replacing 4200 linear feet of pipelines originally installed in 1928. The residents on Winchester Drive, Corbitt Drive, Francisco Drive, Marin Drive, Oak Grove Avenue and surrounding areas will see improved water quality, fire flow and water pressure to their homes.
Scope: The work shall consist of installing new water mains in the City of Burlingame and San Mateo County. Approximately 1,010 linear feet of new 10-inch, 50 linear feet of new 8-inch, 3,100 linear feet of new 6-inch, and 60 linear feet of new 4-inch Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and Ductile Iron water main on Corbitt Drive, Francisco Drive, Marin Drive, Oak Grove Avenue, and Winchester Road. The existing 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch water mains will be abandoned in place. The construction method is anticipated to be conventional open trench and the water main will typically be installed at three to five feet depth of cover.
Project Status: The Shoreland Subdivision Water Improvement project is currently at 85% completion. New water mains and services were constructed on Winchester Drive, Corbitt Drive, and Francisco Drive. The project Contractor will perform a pressure and chlorination tests prior to using the new system. The new system and residential homes will be connected to the existing system upon the completion of the pressure and chlorination tests. The project is anticipated to be completed in February 2019 pending good weather.
