The Library Board of Trustees endorses the "Library Bill of Rights" and the American Library Association "Freedom to Read statement." Professional librarians select library materials for a variety of community needs. Selection of materials for the library includes, but is not restricted to, the following goals:
- Providing a good read!
- Encouraging lifelong reading
- Encouraging the borrowing of materials
- Providing information
- Providing entertainment
