The Annual Water Quality Report has been prepared to provide information about the drinking water we supply to our customers. Physical and chemical characteristics of the water supply are presented in detail in this report. You will also find other information, in the report, which deals with important issues pertaining to the water quality of this essential resource.
Burlingame's Public Works Department is dedicated to providing high quality drinking water. All of the drinking water for Burlingame is purchased from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC). We hope that you will find this report helpful. The SFPUC provides safe but not sterile water meaning that it is not free of all organisms. The SFPUC and the City of Burlingame met all Federal and State water quality standards during 2002.
For additional information about the subject, please give the City of Burlingame a call at (650)558-7230.
The information presented in this report is provided as a public service in response to Section 64463.1 of the California Domestic Water Quality and Monitoring Regulations which requires all public water supply agencies to send an annual water quality report to customers by July 1 of each year. This report meets the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act as amended in 1996.
