Burlingame is working to be a more sustainable community and continuously striving to reduce our carbon emissions. The City has adopted numerous programs to encourage "green" practices by residents, businesses and in our own city operations. And, in 2007, the City formed a Green Ribbon Task Force comprised of residents, council members and Planning Commissioners to recommend policies and programs that our City can undertake to be more sustainable.
